This afternoon when I opened the mailbox, I was thrilled to find a copy of Greetings, Etc. and Stationery Trends. Even more exciting thrilling was the fact that Stationery Trends came nicely wrapped in a white envelope. You know what the white envelope means? That means your company has the honor of being featured in that particular issue! Of course, I hurriedly flipped through the pages of the magazine to find that, much to my surprise, a sneak preview of my Holiday 2010 line was featured in the Show Me Some section (page 22 to be exact). So, without further ado, here is an unexpected, but welcomed, holiday preview!

And you know what’s even better? We’ll be debuting our entire Holiday 2010 line (well, almost all) in about a week! So stay tuned for fresh new holiday designs and products.
xoxo,

You have to wonder, “Where does time go”?
Blogging has been neglected for way too long, but not to worry – we’re back on track now. It’s been quite busy the past couple of weeks as we’ve received many invites and inquiries about participating in upcoming shows for summer and fall. While this is flattering, it is also keeping us quite busy with applications and preparations.
Congratulations to the three winners of the random drawing for submitting your votes — and thanks to everyone who participated. The winners were:
- Janet of www.ellascottjewels.etsy.com
- Alexandra of www.alexkeller.etsy.com
- Mary of www.hoganfe.etsy.com
Watch for more giveaways and contests in the future!
Now, for some really fun news.
DawnCorrespondence has now expanded our line of products to include some new items. We’re just in the early stages of adding cupcake toppers to our website. These can be customized for birthdays, holidays, special events, parties, or just for fun. Children will love them! They can also be decorative by including an assortment of them in a small clay pot filled with sand or marbles as a miniature arrangement.

But that’s not all! Bookplates, newly designed gift box sets, and recipe cards are coming too. Stay tuned for more information. And until then, don’t forget to send a handwritten note to someone and let them know you are thinking of them.

Whew, what a whirlwind of a week it has been for us here at DawnCorrespondence! Our debut at the National Stationery Show was a huge success (more to come on that in tomorrow’s post!) and we’ve finally found some time to catch up after 6 months of non-stop preparations! xoxo,

I have a confession to make. I have a serious obsession with alpacas. They are beyond cute and I must admit I’ve even looked up how to “adopt” an alpaca by sending money to families who use the alpacas to make money.
This weekend, while doing some shopping around town, I happened upon one of the cutest alpaca figurines I had ever seen. It was handmade and was just a little ball of fluffy cuteness on a wooden stand. Even more fun was that there were multiple sizes available, so for anyone who has an obsession (or is that just me?) you could create an entire alpaca family! Knowing I would regret it, I ended up leaving the alpaca family there and not purchasing one. Why, I don’t know. I may have to go back soon and get one to keep me company on my desk.
At any rate, I came home that evening, and remembered the cute alpaca family. I did some searching to see if I could find something similar online, but had no such luck. But, I did find these adorable alpacas instead!

There, I’ve told you my obsession. Do you have any strange or uncommon obsessions you’d be willing to share with us? Please do let us know, it will be fun to see what everyone loves!
xoxo,

This isn’t really Part II of my Then and Now, but I did want to show you a sneak peek of what I’ve began developing with my very first illustrations and stationery. The stationery will be shown in its full capacity, and available for purchase, on my one year Etsy anniversary on March 15! Be sure to stay tuned here, my Etsy shop, and Facebook for updates and anniversary specials. You never know…I may do a different special with a different coupon code in each place!
So without further ado….

And don’t forget, these images you see here, along with the rest of the initial illustrations I did many years ago, will be up for grabs on March 15!
xoxo,
