Olympics logoWow, what a whirlwind of a week it has been! So many exciting places we have visited, wildlife we have seen, and people we have met. I can hardly believe we are finally at the 2010 Winter Olympics! How exciting!

Vancouver is the third largest metropolitan area in the country, so it’s no wonder it’s the perfect host for the 2010 Olympics! Vancouver is one of the highest ranking livable cities in the world, and has been ranked as one of the cleanest cities, so take a breath of fresh air and enjoy the surroundings!

Wow! Iceland was incredible wasn’t it! And today we’re off to a new adventure in the wild land of Alaska.


Alaska is an incredible mass of open landscape covered  with mountain peaks, water, glaciers, parks, and more. As we start our morning, we visit Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America at 20,320 feet above sea level.

Wow – Poland was unbelievable with the national focus on preserving nature! Could you believe the wildlife and massive landscapes bursting forth with color and excitement?


But I digress – so we’re entering Iceland today and nature continues to astound me as we begin our sightseeing tour. I mean, where else in the world can you expect to see glaciers, spewing geysers, volcanoes bubbling silently beneath the ground, brilliant waterfalls, and unrestrained rivers raging past?

Our worldwide whirlwind tour continues today as we journey to Poland in Central Europe where over 38 million people call it home. Be sure to bring your ‘zloty’ which is the currency used here. The incredible beauty of Poland is unbelievable with the Karkonosze National Park, the majestic cranes soaring beneath a majestic sunset, and the rolling landscape that beckons us for adventure. The country is filled with a menagerie of lakes, rivers, mountains, deserts, and valleys extending from the Baltic seacoast for hundreds of miles across the massive landscape.

We had a very fun and busy weekend visiting Peru and South Africa, and now it’s time for us to head up the road for some more new, exciting adventures!
