Yesterday I had every intention of writing about the importance of sleep for remaining focused, balanced, and on task. Turns out I was too busy multi-tasking focusing to get around to it! And after little to no sleep the past few nights, I thought now would be a great time to reinforce to each of you (and me!) the importance of sleep.
One of the best things about sleep is making our bedroom our own space. It’s a place where you can have fun with the design, while still being really cozy. Lately, I’ve really been into the gray • yellow • khaki combo, so I had a wonderful time building this fun, fun inspiration board of what I’d like to update my bedroom with! It’s bright and cheerful enough for rising and shining in the morning, but cozy enough for falling asleep comfortably at night!

On that note, I am going to take my own advice and get some rest before I see the wee hours of tomorrow approaching! Remember to get some rest so you can stay focused, productive, and on top of your game!
Have a great night!
xoxo,

As most of you probably know by now, turquoise is the color of the year for 2010. In an effort to remain stylish this year, I have done quite a bit of searching around for turquoise items and am amazed at the beautiful products I have found along the way! This is the first in the Stylish and Sleek series, showcasing gorgeous turquoise items for your office or workspace. These are all a great way to add some color to a bland office, or help clear some clutter off your desktop! Be sure to stay tuned for some other ways to incorporate turquoise into your home, wardrobe, and life!

Be sure to check back next week for some more lovely turquoise finds!
xoxo,

I was a little late getting on the Christmas decorating bandwagon this year, but at least I hopped on before it was over, right?! I finally got my lovely stockings from
rikrak hung* this weekend and I absolutely love them! They are so adorable! I took extra care to choose stockings that complemented each other well, and they certainly do! I’ve been enjoying all my little handmade holidaying this year – it’s the first year I’ve made an extra effort to purchase only handmade products for the holidays, and the warmth, love, and care that enter the home just from purchasing these products is incredible! There’s nothing better than a handmade holiday! I hope you all are enjoying your lovely holiday season just as much as we are in (oddly) snowy Virginia!
*”hung” = hanging of the stockings from the greenery. I couldn’t wait for the boys to hang them the proper way, so I hung them the best way I knew how!
I spent almost all day organizing my workspace. It has been screaming at me for months, and I finally just had to muster up the courage to get it done. It was taking so long that I almost quit halfway through, but I just kept on truckin’. Thank goodness I did because I feel so much better now!
It’s not exactly the way I’d like it to look, but I need some more shelving before it will be exactly right.
But, first, here is how it looked before Destination: Organization!

And here are the lovely ‘after’ photos:

That ribbon shelf needs to be hung, but other than that I think it’s as close to complete as it can get until I get more shelves! I can’t believe I can actually sit on the bed now! WOW, is this going to be a great start to my week!
I hope everyone had a wonderful week and is geared up for my new features that will begin running tomorrow!
xoxo
