I recently found out that the last Thursday of July each year is National Chili Dog Day. Seriously? They make a special day for that? And then I thought about it more, and I can definitely see why. Because chili dogs are awesome. And guess what today is?!? You guessed it! National Chili Dog Day! Chili dogs certainly bring out the kid in me. Thinking about this had me craving a cookout. I am a sucker for a good, fun cookout. Especially a cookout that includes these fun items:

And you know what the best recipe is for the perfect chili dog? I know it seems simple but all you need is a grilled hot dog, a fresh potato bun, some fresh, hot chili, a tad bit of mustard, and an ice cold glass of lemonade to wash it down! Yumm. Now time to plan a cookout for this weekend…

This afternoon when I opened the mailbox, I was thrilled to find a copy of Greetings, Etc. and Stationery Trends. Even more exciting thrilling was the fact that Stationery Trends came nicely wrapped in a white envelope. You know what the white envelope means? That means your company has the honor of being featured in that particular issue! Of course, I hurriedly flipped through the pages of the magazine to find that, much to my surprise, a sneak preview of my Holiday 2010 line was featured in the Show Me Some section (page 22 to be exact). So, without further ado, here is an unexpected, but welcomed, holiday preview!

At DawnCorrespondence, we have been busy bees preparing for the upcoming 2010 holiday season! Yes, even in the 100 degree heat and humidity! We’ve just about finalized this year’s collection, and were so excited about it we just had to share a sneak preview of the color palette and just one of the many designs with you! Blogging has been neglected for way too long, but not to worry – we’re back on track now. It’s been quite busy the past couple of weeks as we’ve received many invites and inquiries about participating in upcoming shows for summer and fall. While this is flattering, it is also keeping us quite busy with applications and preparations.

Now, for some really fun news.
DawnCorrespondence has now expanded our line of products to include some new items. We’re just in the early stages of adding cupcake toppers to our website. These can be customized for birthdays, holidays, special events, parties, or just for fun. Children will love them! They can also be decorative by including an assortment of them in a small clay pot filled with sand or marbles as a miniature arrangement.
But that’s not all! Bookplates, newly designed gift box sets, and recipe cards are coming too. Stay tuned for more information. And until then, don’t forget to send a handwritten note to someone and let them know you are thinking of them.
